No, this is not about springtime, but something even better. Tennille, JaCoby, & I had the opportunity to volunteer Monday night. We went to the Primavera Men's Shelter and served sloppy joes, chips, fruit cocktail, and desert (brownies & cookies) to about 100 men. I think JaCoby was the hit of all the servers, he gave out the deserts. He was very particular of where he put the cookies and brownies. He wouldn't let them touch the food.
This was a very rewarding experience, especially to see the joy in their faces knowing that they would have full stomachs that night. It made us give a little more thanks for what we have and not what we don't. We would love to do it again.
