Orange Belt

Today was graduation day for JaCoby in Tae Kwan Doe from White belt to Orange belt. In order to graduate he had to show all his forms and one steps that he had learned over the past 2 months. He did pretty good, he did get stuck on a few, but he got through it. He now goes for his Yellow belt next, so hopefully you will see some more photos of him at another graduation in about 2 months. We are deciding to go to a tournament for him in a couple weeks, he really wants to go, but we will have to see.

The black stripe means he is in the Black Belt club, which means he has 15 minutes of extra class to practice other skills that are exclusive to Black Belt club members.

JaCoby getting his new belt tied on by Mr. Hardman, who is a 2nd degree Black belt.

He is untying his White belt, or at least attempting to, because as he said it, "...my daddy put it on too tight." so his instructor had to help him.

His other instuctor Miss McNiel doing some of her testing for her 3rd degree Black belt. I don't know about you, but I would not like to be on the receiving end of that kick.

JaCoby doing some of his "One Steps" with his classmates.

You can barely see him but he is behind the blond in the middle of his moves to qualify for his Orange belt.

Yay, that's exciting for Jacoby. We've been thinking of getting Ian into martial arts of some sort. Looks like Jacoby really enjoys it!
