December 4th was JaCoby's big day.

He was baptized.

I was so nervous to do the ordinance, the last time I baptised somebody was the last day of my mission and I did it in Spanish. I Had never baptised somebody in English. I had a dream the night before that I was going to do the whole thing in Spanish including the confirmation. Luckily that did not happen, there was a cheat sheet on the wall of the font that I was thankful for.

After he was baptized and while we were getting dressed he asked me, "since we are done, can I go home now?"

I said "you are not quite done, there is one more part."

We had a great small get together with my mother,my sister, Tennille, JaCoby and myself. We had a lot of fun cooking the dinner with all the trimmings and even played Mega-Monopoly. I am proud to say I won. It was sad to see them all go and get back to the grind of school and work. bummer deal dude

Pardon my laziness on getting photos onto the blog. Now I have to play catch up. So here goes. The Wednesday before halloween we carved our pumpkins, something that we enjoy very much.

Our Revamped Frontroom

It has been almost a year since we bought our home and we wanted to show off our Frontroom. Before as you see in the photo marked Living Room, of which was taken before we bought the home, the walls are painted a really light beige color which we did not like at all. We have now painted it a Roasted chestnut (light brown) color that we totally love. The only thing left to do in this room is refinish the floor, put crown moulding on the cieling. Enjoy the pics. More painting and such in other rooms to come.

Utah County Fair

The last hurrah before school starting was the Utah County Fair. Here are a few pics I thought you all might enjoy.

JaCoby entered a drawing to which he entitled the D-Age and he was very excited that he took 1st place and beat mom!

Grandma Winkler came up and went with us to the 3rd annual demolition derby. It was most likely one of the best I have ever seen!

We loved this wreck!! Amazingly enough both drivers were OK and continued to drive the beat up vehicles.

There was one car that flipped over, unfortunately I can't find the photo to show you, luckily there were no injuries in any of the crashes.

There was one car in the championship round that lost the right rear wheel and tire and continued to drive and hit vehicles and never quit, he came in second place. Not bad for a 3 wheeled sedan. Sorry that some of the photos are so dark, it got late as the derby went on.

You will notice I have changed the theme of the blog to be very patriotic. Patriotism is something very deep in my heart that I treasure dearly.There is a long tradition of soldiers in my family, my grandpa was an injured soldier , my uncle retired from the Navy, My brother is full time active duty in the Army, my brother- in-law is full time Air Force, My other brother was also in for a short time, and I have been in the Army Reserves and national Guard for the last 17 years and still going strong. You can see what I mean now. As you listen to the songs I have put on, some might bring a tear to your eye like they did mine. They are at the bottom of the page if you want to skip one or two. I would understand but I hope you appreciate them as I do.

Well my name did get drawn and I got called and before the game was escorted to the court by 2 Jazz dancers to shoot a half court shot. If I make the shot I win the bike. I missed the shot very badly. Oh well. Hey I got to meet Ron Boone and Craig Bolerjack during a time out of the pregame show.

When we moved to Utah we obtained another cat by the name of Ashy, unfortuneately died just a few months ago, so we decided to adopt Cuddles (name is courtesy of JaCoby) from the animal shelter and saved him from his death.He is about 8 months old and acts just like a kid, he annoys the other two cats and chases after them. I think it is good for them, they are overweight anyway.

ok everyone knows that I shop way cheap for groceries I barely spend 30 dollars a week, I get everything I need plus have a food storage...how do I do it??? Today I will answer those questions. First off I never pay full price for anything. I shop the adds each week....yes its more time consuming but it's worth it then I also spend hours surfing the net for coupons reading blogs and putting all my time and effort into it. So I decided today to share those long hard hours of work with you so you won’t have too.

As much as I love coupons I have found that I save more money while shopping the ads. I have invested in a deep fat freezer in which I freeze my meets. I pick the meets that go on sale each week then I stock up and freeze them. If tuna is on sale for the week like 2 for 1 I will stock up. I also take advantage of case lot sales. We have food storage for that reason. When my husband lost his job a while ago we were able to live quite comfortably of all the food storage. I even put dry milk in there just in case there is a time we can’t go to the store. It’s also important to stock up on water, we had to shut off the water a few weeks ago due to putting new pipes in and I was surprised at how much it didn’t hurt us do to the water saved up. I hope these suggestions help you save and I wish you luck. Ps in case you didn’t know Wal-Mart will price mach any store but you have to show them coupons and things...that way if you are a busier person then I am and don’t have time to shop around you can save your time and energy by just going to one place. Be sure to get the coupon.com flower coupon this month what a great deal also just to let you know Wal-Mart does not accept internet coupons. That is why I don’t like to go there too often.

Last friday I had the opportunity to go to JaCoby's school to attend Dad-n-Donuts. I had no idea what I was in for. What it ended up being was the first graders came to the cafeteria found thier dads and read to them while they both had donuts and water. I had a nice time and so did JaCoby. He reads so well. He is on a 4th grade reading level. I am so proud of him.

1 Increase our family.
2 Improve our house: paint, plumbing, yard etc.
3 Lose at least 10 lbs ( I am being realistic).
4 Get my family ready for possible deployment.
5 Pass my classes with good grades and get closer to my teaching degree.
6 Have the only bills be our car and house.
That is plenty for now and I believe very obtainable.

On Christmas Eve Eve (lol) we went to temple square in SLC. The atmosphere was perfect, it was snowing lightly almost as if in the movies. We were able to see some of the wonderful lights as we stayed bundled up. We also stopped by JB's on the corner and ate dinner. A set of sister missionaries led us through a set up of the Family Proclamation. It was very neat. None of us had a dry eye.

20 yes I did say twenty inches in the last 48 hours with a possible of 1-2 inches more overnight than a break with the temps getting close to O degrees farenhight for the low and the high is not to clear 32 with another storm coming this weekend. JaCoby and I are lovin the snow, but mom is not too thrilled about it.

Oh Christmas Tree

Last night, we decorated the Christmas tree and hung up the stockings. We usually just put up an artificial tree, but this time I promised JaCoby a real tree, so he could have the expierence of it.We went and cut down the tree on Wednesday in Farr West (I know that is quite a ways away, but it was worth it). It was 10 feet 3 inches tall. No, we do not have 11 foot ceilings, they were having a special on trees over 10 ft tall Scotch Pines. I ended up cutting about 18 inches off the bottom. We had a great time decorating it and remembering how we obtained each ornament. I realized some of the ornaments were ones that I had at JaCoby's age on a mini tree in my room. Oh the memories! This has got to be one of my favorite things about Christmas, the wonderful memories. Tennille still can't believe we have such a huge tree.

Smith's is having a 10 for 10.00 on sausage so go check it out this week. Also Kraft cheese is 3 for 5 and crescent rolls are 3 for 5. Alberton's or Fresh market is giving away 5 lb bag of sugar if you turn in your Alberston's card also get there stuffing mixes for 78 cents a box. I stocked up. Ragu spaghetti sauce is also 1.28 I grabbed a few of them. The famous Macy's also has paper towels at 39 cents a piece it was worth driving the few blocks up to get it. They even have taco seasoning packets at 25 cents a peace. all these stores were all in Spanish fork and Payson so I saved on gas driving a lot of places. It was convenient. Oh I forgot that Smith's also has some really good deals on cereal. General mills 4 for 5 or something like that, we had a two one dollar off coupons so it was even cheaper.

New grocery shopping trip

We went to smiths and got groceries. Over 30 items. The total came to $41.83. Then with our coupons and rewards points redemption brought it down to only $2.42, which is all we had to pay. We had 30 cans of carnation evaporated milk, syrup and strawberry jam. We have been surfing the net, understanding coupon jargon, and language anyways yes it does pay off!!! Today is the last day for evaporated milk at 49 cents as long as you buy in quantities of 10. Take advantage of it!!! Smiths also has rewards points that you can get if you shop only for Smiths. It is worth looking into.

Shopping experience

OK I am on a new kick how to get groceries for as little as possible. The other night I went and got 6 bags of bacon and 2 bags of boneless skinless chicken and button mushrooms for 11 dollars then the next morning went to a different store and spent 8 dollars and came out with 3 bags of cereal about 6 cans of iodized salt and 4 bread bowls. Then I went back to the same store this afternoon and got 4 cake mixes and frosting and a large bag of egg noodles then a bag of spaghetti noodles. A bag of chips and baking soda and paper towels and only spent 13 dollars. Man it really pays of to watch the adds and cut coupons all the hard work and many hours surfing the net are paying off. I am learning how to shop the right way.....

The other day JaCoby was on the phone with Grandma W and was asked what he wanted for his birthday in November, so he rattled off a few things, than she said "What do you want for Christmas?" and without skipping a beat, he said "I will tell you when it s closer in January!"

So all of you stressin about Christmas according to JaCoby it has been postponed until January. You gotta love kids!!!!

Cornbelly Corn Maze

We went to the Corn Maze at Thanksgiving Point. It was so fun. Thursday JaCoby had the day off from school so we decided to go. We ran through the maze that was supposed to take about 25 minutes....well we did it in 18 minutes. Go J Family. Anyways they had everything there from pig races to a live chicken show to hay rides. There was a couple haunted things that we went through that even scared me. We even got to go on a train ride. Lunch was great.Full of fried corn dogs for me Chicken tenders for Coby and a hot dog for JaCoby and we all shared a big thing of fries. Afterwards JaCoby got to jump on a great big pillow. All in all it was a great day with lots of fun things to do. I even got a carmel apple that afternoon. JaCoby got a cookie. Coby didnt want a treat. We left with a free pumpkin too. That we will be carving this next week. Hope you all enjoy the pictures.

paint job

On Saturday, September 26th, the sellers and us painted the facia and window seals of the house so that it might pass apprasial. They let us choose the color and I chose Cinnamon Spice, which is a brown color. We thought this color would look great. JaCoby has been so excited to paint so we let him work on the front door changing it from the peachish-pink color to the Cinnamon Spice.

Recently we just registered JaCoby at his new school called the Park Elementary Panthers. He is now a Panther and not a wildcat anymore. He was so excited that we had to go see what a first grade classroom looked like. He said " Wow I get my own desk. Cool!" Coincidentally there happen to be a first grade teacher there that he was able to meet, he was very impressed with her. So he is very excited to find out who his new teacher is on the open house on the 18th of this month and to actually go to school on the 19th, especially to have school lunch.

Well today is our 11th wedding anniversary. My wife is constantly reminding me and saying can you believe we got married 11 years ago? We haven't done nothing too special due to the fact of just moving into our house just a week ago. We finally got our other place cleaned out and turned in our keys in order that we might get a chunk of our deposit back. But hey, we spent it together as a couple :)

The Move

After 2 straight days of moving (friday & saturday). We finnaly have startedthe unpacking process and starting to feel a bit more comfortable. The neighborhood has been wonderful and very welcoming. Boy are we glad the move is over.

Last week my dad came to visit. This was the first time he had ever seen JaCoby. We were pretty excited for this.

The bad new is there was a glitch that came up on our side with the financing that will soon be taken care of. The good news is that we are moving in a few weeks into this house.

An update on the house. The offer we put in was accepted. The house is in Spanish Fork. The inspection of the home is tomorrow, so cross your fingers that all goes well. If all goes well, we should be able to close before the 30th of June. I would show you more pics, but my printer and computer are not on speaking terms. Go figure! I guess one said something to the other that they did not like. Just kidding. When I am able to get some pics, I will be sure to post them.

Round 3

For those of you that have been keeping up with our Blog, you would know this is the 3rd house in a year and a-half that we have put an offer on. Coincidentally they have been in 3 different cities. Maybe the 3rd time is the charm. I sure hope so. I am not leaking any details on this particular one until things become more clear on the game of purchasing a home. I will keep you all updated though.

Lagoon

Last Saturday, we went to lagoon. I received some discount tickets because of UVU lagoon day. We had a pretty good time, there was one glitch. Tennille decided to be daring and ride a couple roller coasters (Jet Star II and a couple others that the names escape me), she usually doesn't ride them, than she went on the Paratrooper. That was the kicker, the trees got to taste what she had for dinner earlier to put it nicely.

On a nicer note as we were getting ready to leave we decided to play a game since we haven't played one the entire time we had been there. I found one that all you had to do was toss quarters and if it landed on the plate you received a stuffed animal, I am thinking it is one of the small tigers they had underneath the plates in a vase. Well I got the quarter on the plate the second try and she says " Do you ant the tiger or the panther?" pointing to the biggest stuffed animals in the park aprox. 4 ft in length, 5 ft including the tail. I was utterly shocked, JaCoby was elated. It almost did not fit in the car

On Thursday, we went house hunting, after looking at a few houses, we found one that could be the ONE. We put an offer in for it and it was accepted late Friday. Last night was Father & son's or Priesthood Commemoration Camp out. I forgot my camera, I remembered I had a camera phone, so I turned the phone over to JaCoby to take whatever photos he wanted. So what you see below have nothing to do with me, they have not been touched up, doctored or any thing else, they are just the product of a 6 year old

We had a lot of fun. We got a bit chilly especially since the temps dove down to just about freezing. I decided halfway through the night to put him and his sleeping bag inside mine. He ended up sleeping like a baby not me though. I froze all night and hardly slept but so goes life. I enjoyed it anyway.

Field Trip

JaCoby went on a field trip last Friday with his class to the Monte L Bean Wildlife Museum. Mom volunteered to help out. JaCoby loved touching the snakes and other animals but not as much as rinding on the "big yellow bus" for the first time. He refused to let mom take him home and insisted on riding the bus.

For Easter, we decided to take a trip to Mountain Home, Idaho area for an extended family Easter egg hunt. Once we checked into our lodging, we headed over to visit Tom and his family. We had a really nice visit and shared a lot of laughs, JaCoby was tuckered out by the end of the day.

Saturday was the big day for the hunt, while we were waiting for more of the family to arrive at my aunt and uncle's place, we had a great time visiting with family I haven't seen for a while and some that Tennille had yet to meet. The Easter egg hunt was a blast as you will see by the pics and captions below. Later that night, we spent some time with my sister's family and had a great time getting to know them better.

Sunday, we attended the blessing of my cousin's latest baby. It was a really neat experience. JaCoby was really excited for this that he said he couldn't sleep the night before and I asked him why and this is what he said " I was excited because you said we only had to attend 1 hour of church!" LOL Kids say the darnedest things.

Tennille had to have a pic of the baby kittens That were at my aunt and uncle's house. She wanted to take one home but they were not old enough yet or they might have let her. She is such a softy for kittens.

Yep that is me doing a little Easter egg hunting. I thought I did pretty good finding 88 of them, but the winner found 127 of them. Tennille ended up getting the Turkey prize for finding the least amount of eggs (29). The prize was a calculator 2 feet x 1 foot. They said they thought she might need this since she couldn't see the eggs lol. She took it all in stride.

JaCoby & I decorated my Carrot cake. Don't try and count the candles, I know there are not enough on it. There are 29 or so. When you get to this age, it just isn't worth going out and buying another package of candles or a 4 in this case. This way was more funner. JaCoby insisted we put chocolate chips on the cake, I'm not sure why, anyway you will notice the words are different colors (every color we had). I thought this was my cake but JaCoby put himself in charge of decorating it. Well I loved it.

Tennille & JaCoby gave me a pair of pants, socks, and a nice shirt. Yes these are only practical things, but they are what I wanted and needed.

All in all, I had a nice birthday. It was small but came with lots of well wishers by phone and Facebook.

What a Ball

I know, I am posting these photos late, but being sick this week and working a ton of hours, I haven't had a chance, but better late than never. Anyway, Tennille and I had the opportunity to go to a National Guard Ball at the Utah State Capitol Rotunda. It was a beautiful event. We both enjoyed all the people and the dancing. Tennille loved looking at all the beautiful dresses that were worn. We even had some profesional phots taken.

Saturday was graduation day for Tae Kwon Do. Not very often do you see a Father-Son combination at a graduation. We both did pretty good and mom did well taping it considering the fact she does not use the camcorder that often.

It was a very nice day here in Provo. OK it wasn't the near 80 like St. George or the near 90 in Tempe, AZ, I prefer Provo weather compared to those two (no offense). We though that we would get some playing outside before as the weatherman says it is supposed to snow in the next day or two (go figure). Well anyway here are a few photos I took outside.

Hi! I just wanted to say that we are all back to normal. I finally started working (again) everyone at work was upset about having that much time off and a lot of people are now looking for new work but I think I am staying put for now. I like were I am at I just wish it was more steady and reliable. Coby's leg is feeling better and JaCoby is off his antibiotics, so life is good. Over the last month we have probably spent $100 just on medication to get our family better. Oh yeah...The snow is gone JaCoby wants to go outside and play more and more it's so great!!!!!

I decided to join Tae Kwan Do with JaCoby about a month ago but between my messed up leg and not having my uniform, the pic just wasn't possible. Mom was able to take it today. For now JaCoby out ranks me. I am a lowly White belt and he is an Orange belt. We both test for our next belts on March 7th (JaCoby for Yellow and myself for Orange). It should be fun.

Sorry for lack of updates. We haven't really gone or done anything lately. We are having more time at home. This last week I didn't work at all due to the wonderful economy they kept calling me telling me I didn't need to come in. They did it all last week. Then today, Monday they called and said I didn't need to come in again. They told me only 10 people were scheduled to come in it's a little frustrating. I keep thinking maybe I should have taken that other job, but now I have to go in on my days off and try to make up some hours.Coby's hours have also been cut a little bit we think it's because of his leg or maybe the wonderful economy but either way we have had more family time. I am looking forward to spring and the fact that the snow is finally starting to melt. Rose buds will soon appear and we will be able to enjoy the warmth of the season. Life can't be all that bad with spring and summer just around the corner. We will try to get you some fun family pictures soon, but Coby's leg is still a little sore.

I am so sorry for the lack of updates. For the past week I haven't been feeling good. I went to the ER Sunday night because I could barely walk, my rt knee was very swollen. I was in so much pain I was crying. The ER Doc said I had Bursitis (pretty much an inflamed knee). I went to work the next two nights and it continued to get worst. I finally decided to go to my Primary Doctor and he said I was misdiagnosed in the ER and that I had a Cellutitis (this is a link to Wikapedia as to what it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellulitis). He put me out of work until the 16th of this month maybe longer. I can barely walk or drive. I spend my days laying down with my foot up as long as I can stand. I am on 3 antibiotics (2 orally one as a shot in the hip every other day or so) and 2 pain killers (1 for the day & 1 for the night).

I told Tennille this will be the first year I can't spoil her for Valentine's day as I have done for the last 11 years. She went and bought herself a box of chocolates and JaCoby & I something. I love my wife more and more each day. Her and her job will be keeping us afloat. I don't know what I would do with out her.

Boycott GE

Maybe it is our bad luck, but here goes our story. A few days after Christmas, we noticed our washer wasn't cleaning our clothes. I decided to watch it through a cycle and all it would do would soak and get rid of the water and not agitate. In my book that doesn't clean your clothes. So we had to buy a new washer,this time a Maytag because Tennille did not like the idea of hand washing. LOL. OK that was the first item, one might be a coincidence.
Next, our GE vacuum decided it would not suck (one of the few things you do want to suck), come to find out it had a pin hole in the hose that I found out would be too costly to repair. We had the vacuum for only 6 months. I again had to get a new one, this time I bought a Eureka. Now 2 is starting a trend,
Next, you might laugh at this one, but my GE mouse for my computer went out. It is one of those laser ones, well the laser would turn off right at the inopportune time. So I bought a Microsoft one. Three is starting to be ridiculous!
Lastly (I hope), our GE microwave went out. We noticed this when Tennille tried to defrost some meat and after 45 minutes of trying we decided it was toast. Again only 6 months ago we bought it. Funds have run out to replace things, so I have yet to replace it.
So as I have said in the title BOYCOTT GE I sure will. I will never buy a GE product again.

Changed my mind

Hi, I said I was going to go to the company Rise and start working...well I changed my mind right before I started, I got a call from a research company that I really wanted to work for with better hours and I would have Sunday off. Of course I said yes. I start tomorrow. Tomorrow is just a few hours but I can't wait to get back to working. The hours are perfect with Coby's job. We won't have to have a baby-sitter at all, maybe occasional Saturdays.

Draper Temple Open House

On Friday, we attended the Draper open house Temple. We were very excited to go especially JaCoby, since this is the only time he is able to see inside the temple until later in life. Above is the front of the pamphlet they gave us.

Our reservation was at 4:00, but by the time we got there ( at the stake center, which was the staging area), they were down to 3 charter buses instead of 5, of which they originally had, due to breakdowns. We ended up waiting about 2 hours for the bus, but in the meanwhile we got to know quite a few nice people. JaCoby was so patient through it all, above is a pic of him waiting so patiently.

JaCoby loved the baptismal font the best, but he gave a big WOW in the Celestial room.

By the time we got to the temple it was too dark to take any photos of the temple so we had this one taken if front of this beautiful picture of Christ at the stake center right next to the temple where, they were serving light refreshments.

A Thursday Accomplishment

Orange Belt

Today was graduation day for JaCoby in Tae Kwan Doe from White belt to Orange belt. In order to graduate he had to show all his forms and one steps that he had learned over the past 2 months. He did pretty good, he did get stuck on a few, but he got through it. He now goes for his Yellow belt next, so hopefully you will see some more photos of him at another graduation in about 2 months. We are deciding to go to a tournament for him in a couple weeks, he really wants to go, but we will have to see.

The black stripe means he is in the Black Belt club, which means he has 15 minutes of extra class to practice other skills that are exclusive to Black Belt club members.

I (Tennille) got a job at a company I used to work at 6 years ago called Rise. It is for people with Disabilities and special needs and I am excited to be going back to work. I have worked here and there a little bit in cedar but to really be going back is so exciting. I will be working on nights and weekends, just wanted to let everyone know. As for our New Years, We went to bed at our normal times including JaCoby due to the fact, I had to be to work at 4 a.m. and Tennille had a cold. We decided to celebrate it the next day, since I had Friday off. This did not work all that well either, because Tennille gave me her cold, so her and I were both sick with colds, but I did let JaCoby stay up till midnight. This was a mistake, because he was so obnoxious today. I saw Megan's blog and decided to borrow her list of questions for 2008 so here goes:

We made a 9 hour trip from Tucson to St. George trip turn into a 16 hour trip.

A New Dew for a New Year

JaCoby an I both went and got haircuts. He got a 6 on top and 3 on the sides and back with a fade, and I got a 0 all around(yes that means bald). I was just so sick of my mop, I decided it had to go! So this is our new hair dew for 2009.

On a side note, it freaked Tennille out and the photo was taken by my new camera, that my wonderful wife gave me for Christmas.

JaCoby received this game from Santa and Tennille & I have played it more than he has. Pachisi Not to be confused with Parcheesi.

Pachisi is a cross and circle board game that originated in ancient India; it is described as the national game of India. It is played on a board shaped like a symmetrical cross. We had so much fun! Wow, Look at me, and those white little legs. LOL I have gained some weight, man must go on diet....anyways it was so much fun. Up and down the hill we went. dashing through the snow. LOL

All I want for Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. It was awesome. No offense to any family members but it was nice just to spend the holiday with the 3 of us. We played games. Pachisi was a game we got for Christmas along with Press your luck. I was excited to finally get a kitchen Aid and Coby got his new camera and a few other thing. JaCoby got a scooter along with tons of other things. It was great. Relaxing. The day went by way to fast. I still haven't used my Kitchen Aid yet because it had a European plug and I just got the plug adapter the other day. Today we are going sledding because it is Coby's day off and we just got new sleds. We can't wait to spend the day as a family. I love my family and miss all of them but this year it was nice to spend the holidays at home. Well I better go get ready to take an excited 6 year old sledding. We will try to take pictures...

White Christmas

Well we got our wish... a White Christmas. I woke up this maorning and it was snowing and it had snowed about an inch last night. They have predicted up to 14 inches for our area.

Frosty

This morning it started to snow and it still hasn't quit. They say we received 8-14 inches of snow. I was so excited that it snowed and that it was the sticky enough to make a snowman. Unfortunately JaCoby wasn't able to help me with it due to him being sick with bronchitis. The doctor told him that he can't play outside for the next 3-4 days.

The little girls in the photo (1 behind frosty and the other next to him) are our neighbors. They were very glad to help build the snowman. The snowman has a baseball cap, apples for eyes, carrot for a nose, rubber tubing for a mouth, a yellow scarf, and 3 washers for buttons.

A Special Visitor

I so dearly apologize for the lack of updates, I have been so lost without my camera, than my cell phone quit working (which has a camera), it wouldn't ring. I found out the internal antenna was broke, so while I waited for my new one to come in the mail, I had a loaner (with no camera) which I hated. I finally have my new cell phone and is better than ever. I will now take pics with it until further notice.

Tonight JaCoby had a special visitor come to the house and made sure he knew exactly what he wanted for Christmas. JaCoby told him he wanted a piano he later specified a toy piano after Santa said his reindeer wouldn't be able to haul a piano.

A snowy Friday in Provo, unfortunately it is only the powder version so it we haven't been able to make snowmen yet. JaCoby loves it, but is so scared that it will go away the next day, of which it hasn't because of the temps staying below 32 degrees.

Yes I did promise photos of the Christmas lights and decor, but when I went to take a photo with my camera it was all black. The camera was broke. I guess it said I quit. I guess I will have task Santa for a new camera. Until than sorry no photos.

I just found out Joseph B. Wirthlin passed away last night at the age of 91 years old. He was an apostle for the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. This post is especially for those living outside of Utah. He will be missed.

Revamping for the Holidays

As some, if not all of you know, we always decorate our house and yard the day of, or the day after, Thanksgiving. This year was no exception. Between yesterday and today everything became quite festive around our house. As you notice the blog got totally revamped as well for Christmas and New Years. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends

We are spending the holiday with just the 3 of us. We thought we were going to have a few more, but it did not work out that way. This is our first time doing Thanksgiving all by ourselves and we are enjoying it. I only had to work 3 hours, so it wasn't too bad. Tennille and JaCoby can't wait till I pull out the Christmas stuff to decorate the house. That is something we have always done is decorate the day of or the day after Thanksgiving.

Sorry It took me so long to post the photos, it has been a busy week, especially at work, anyway here they are.

JaCoby's birthday was exciting right from the get go. He was constantly asking "Is it 3:30 yet?" we kept saying no it isn't, later you will find out why he wanted it to be 3:30 so bad.

At Kindergarten he was a special helper all day since it was his birthday.

As you can see he enjoyed the cupcakes mom brought for the class for his birthday.

Than at 3:30, his Tae Kwan Doe birthday started at the studio where it is held. First they did a mini "karate" session of demonstration for all the kids. We were really impressed with the turn out, especially since he invited all his neighbor friends, primary class, and school class. There was about 12 kids that showed up, not bad, I don't think.

I decided to do a survey on myself so you can get to know me a little better and the weird ways I think so I will answer what ever pops in my head (scary thought).

Threw up over a lady at the St.George swimming pool (she was wearing a bikini no doubt and she ran off screaming. Lou Anne never let me live that one down.
As a missionary I went in to the men's bathroom at the MTC with my whole district watching.
I was out tracking with sister missionaries when right in front of the Elders the wind blew and blew my dress right up there with it, the Elders saw everything ugh what a nightmare.

Bean Natural Wildlife Museum

Today, we decided to go and visit the museum on the BYU campus for free, we heard it was pretty cool for adults and kids. We were not at all disappointed. Tennille kept saying "my dad would love this!" We made it just in time for the Reptile show. JaCoby really enjoyed it a lot as you can see he was able to touch a few. JaCoby was constantly reminding us that grandpa has a lot of these on his wall.

Worn out from all the raking, as you can see not much got done.

He thought he could do a better job with the raking the leaves with his hands.

Mom thought this was pretty ingenious of him trying to seed up Mother Nature by raking the tree.
