Father & Son's Outing

On Friday JaCoby & I went on the annual Father & Son's outing. Mom loved the chance to have a break from her boys. She even packed mostly everything to get us out sooner. She did an excellent job and even packed plenty of extras for those of whom might need it. She is so very thoughtful. I love her so much.

Anyway we traveled the hour and half to get to Pepper Sauce Canyon. I thought that was a very weird name. I had a little trouble finding the place and I thought I would have been way late, come to find out We were the second father son group there. It gave us a chance to get camp set up, eat, and even go for a little hike to find some firewood.

We had a great time between visiting, swinging on a rope, and having a nice devotional put on by our bishopric. We got to bed about 9 or so. It would have been a nice restful sleep except for the fact I think I laid my sleeping bag on the only rock on the spot I pitched the tent. Between the rock, my allergies and Jacoby coming into my bag and him snoring all night I did not get much sleep.

The following morning, We ate breakfast burritos (the bishopric made). I thought, pretty typical since we are in Arizona. We than went up to Pepper Sauce Cave. This was not your typical walk-through-cave, this was anything but that. We had to crawl into the entrance, slide down some spots, climb up others, and crawl in more spots. You were to come out dirty no matter what. Especially if you slip into the water in the middle of the cave. Luckily neither one of us did. By the time we got home, we were both exhausted.

The funny thing about this sign it said the cave is to the left and it was actually to the right, unless there was another one we were unaware of.

Matt went on a campout last weekend. He was so excited to go and to take his barbecue, but then he forgot his sleeping bag. It was FREEZING!
Good luck with the move. It's wonderful to be near family.
